The most awaited time of every year is the Lakme Fashion Summer Resort. There is always a surprise element that we all can expect at Lakme Fashion Week and this year the LFW 2016 presented by #LYF smartphones, raised the bars with an innovative concept of bringing two diverse worlds together.
Yes, folks, the LFW 2016 brought a fusion of technology world with the fashion world. And as expected, I fell in love with the innovative concept of fashion and technology.
With the melange of fashion and technology, the LFW 2016 got, even more, grandeur when the theme of the fashion week was based ELEMENTS, the elements of nature. While I was awe-inspired by the concept, I was spellbound with the theme and the runway was breathtaking. With the backdrop of ‘Tree of Life’ and a flock of birds hanging around the majestic tree gave a complete feel of Spring season.
Also, I would say great minds think alike, the fashion mogul Manish Malhotra and LYF smartphones collections were inspired by the four Elements of nature- Earth, Water, Wind, Flame. Yes, this is the first time a smartphone is inspired by the elements of the earth and I assure you the phone is an affordable luxury to express yourself.
Being a techie freak, my interest was piqued by the LYF smartphone and I completely loved the sleek design, amazing features and, of course, the camera quality.

I would like to share LYF is the first company to create a phone with two rear cameras, which is a perfect feature for the people who love clicking photos.
Moving to the fashion week, the maestro Manish Malhotra, like every time made us head over heels in love with his Spring bridal collection. The collection was alluring, enchanting and focused on the four spectacular elements of nature. Take a look at his collection and like every one of us get enamored by the Spring collection.
The haute couture of Manish Malhotra was everything from elegant, ravishing, divine to magnificent, dazzling and fabulous. We could see a myriad of sheer net capes, off shoulder cholis, flowy lehengas, enticing saris perfectly designed for the contemporary brides. Every ethnic silhouette of the bridal collection has the Manish Malhotra touch of embellishments, zari work, precious stones and diamond accessories from Anmol.
As remarkable was the women’s couture, even the men’s collection was dapper and added a wow factor. The grooms-to-be could be inspired by the haute collection of stunning jackets, debonair kurta and churidar and colorful dupattas which ruled the LFW 2016 ramp.
During the media questionnaire Manish Mentioned “Elements’ has been one of my most creatively gratifying experiences. The modern Indian bride is my muse, because there really is no point in wearing a gorgeous outfit if the bride cannot have fun in it. I wanted to showcase the expanse of possibilities that young, stylish brides- and grooms-to-be could explore for their big day”.
Inspired by nature’s four glories (earth, water, wind and fire), Manish also presented a capsule collection for the modern groom.
Manish Malhotra is known for his amazing choice of show-stoppers, and this year he beautified the runway with gorgeous looking Jacqueline Fernandez and the cool dude of Bollywood Arjun Kapoor. Jacqueline looked heavenly beauty in the pastel peach couture which was enhanced by the imperial cape whose length Manish and Arjun showed us all and I was enchanted. Arjun was spotted in navy blue Sherwani with the glossy silver hued jacket and he looked rocking in it.
The show gave huge inspiration and memories to take back. I loved the unique concept of Fashion meets Technology, and the duo Manish Malhotra and LYF smartphones ELEMENTS collection.
Stay tuned for more fashion reports.
