Fashion weeks often sizzle the runway with glamour, high notch haute couture which are worth drooling. And Lakme Fashion Week 2016 was nothing less than that, it showcased eminent designer work, stunning craftmanship and ofcourse celebrity spotting.
It isn’t the first time that the fashion show witnessed celebrity show-stopper, but this time, the Bollywood stars stole the show and our hearts, which could be due to the amazing collection or the aura. So let’s find out who modelled for which fashion designer this year and which was our favorite.
1. Kareena Kapoor:
Proud mommy to be made everyone speechless with her royal walk for Sabyasachi Mukherjee grand finale. Two things caught our interest – her ethereal lehenga and the cute baby bump that made her look even more beautiful on the runway.
Bebo was spotted in silver bridal ensemble with detailed work that looked resplendent, regal and beautiful. We were smitten by the look and definitely recommend brides to be, to try this splendid look by Kareena. Read Kareena’s beauty secrets here.
2. Shraddha Kapoor:
This beauty was the show stopper for Manish Malhotra and she looked enticing for the show. Manish crafted the black lehenga with top notch style which was teamed with the sheer crop top with floral details. it was all that we need for the season.
3. Sushant Singh Rajput:
This was his debut on the runway and he walked for the fashion mogul Manish Malhotra. Sushant looked dapper in a structured kurta with dhoti pants, which are the style that every groom should try.
4. Prachi Desai:
Prachi looked celestial in Sonam and Paras Modi, we loved the fusion of Indo-western look with her embellished cold shoulder, cape style crop top with opulent lehenga that talks about luxury and high-end design.
5. Jacqueline Fernandez:
This gorgeous lady walked the ramp for Rajesh Pratap Singh and she had the perfect attitude for the stylish outfit. The shimmery silver ensemble brought a sporty look and Jacky added the right dose of style quotient in the outfit.
6. Kangana Ranaut:
It is as if the ramp is made for Kangana, whenever she comes she sizzles the ramp with her aura. She was the show stopper for the famous designer Tarun Tahiliani and her outfit sparkled bohemian and high-end style.
The deep plunging neckline with detailed jacket teamed with a pleated skirt added grace on the ramp. We loved her makeup and necklace that perfectly complemented her outfit.
7. Bipasha Basu:
The new bride of Bollywood, Bipasha Basu was the show stopper for Sanjukta Dutta and donned the timeless Bengal style saree weaved in rich silk embroidery work which showed the feminine side of her.
We loved the way she styled the saree with nose ring, heavy bangles, red bindi and smoky eye makeup– a look that newly wedded brides can definitely steal.
8. Shilpa Shetty:
Hot mommy of Bollywood, Shilpa Shetty walked the runway for Anushree Reddy and charmed the ramp in red zardozi lehenga which again is a great pick for the bride. Her svelte figure added an oomph factor to the outfit and folks does she even look like a mom?
9. Malaika Arora:
She slayed the runway with her seductive look, hot body, and awe-inspiring ensemble. Malaika Arora in the cutout, body hugging outfit screamed oomph factor and made us want more of her. She walked the runway for Shantanu and Nikhil. What do you think guys?
10. Ileana D’cruz:
Want how modern brides look? Then take a look at Ileana D’cruz, she looks impressive and impactful in Ridhi Mehra Marsala outfit. The cape, detailed crop top with golden embroidery work lehenga describes the diva bride. The dramatic eye makeup with nude lipstick perfectly complemented the look.
11. Kriti Sanon:
Thinking what to wear for your sister’s Sangeet party, then take cues from Kriti Sanon who walked the runway for Ritu Kumar. Though the outfit is adorned with embroidery work but Kriti added a girly look which looks radiant and refreshing.
12. Emraan Hashmi with son Ayaan:
The coolest dad of the town, Emraan Hashmi added a fun on the ramp when he made an entry with his cute son. Both were spotted in matching outfits by Diesel and we loved the stylish leather jacket and sneakers.
13. Ranbir Kapoor:
Ranbir Kapoor walked the ramp for Kunal Rawal and as usual, he was the head turner. Styled in a debonair kurta, narrow pants and jacket Ranbir charmed the ramp with his killer looks and fashionable clothing.
14. Karishma Kapoor:
The ageless diva, Karishma Kapoor was spotted in a groundbreaking haute couture by Architha Narayanam and we just loved the red outfit. The exquisite detailed work on the waistline added a luxe look, to the outfit and highlighted the feminine look.
- Pooja Hegde:
Indian Bollywood actress Pooja Hegde showcases a creation by designer Amoh during the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Winter/Festive 2016 in Mumbai on August 28, 2016. / AFP / Sujit JAISWAL The leggy lass of Mohenjodaro was the show-stopper for designer Amoh and she had a cool, nonchalant, Boho yet ethnic look. The electric blue polka dot skirt with matching tank top, long chain and headband effortlessly gave a Boho look and we loved it completely.
